REQUIREMENTS:
T.O.U.C.H. is designed to be a very intense program for pre-selected clients who satisfy certain pre-release criteria such as: educational, personal, mentoring, substance abuse, and pre-release programming. (Specific program requirements, which are the key ingredients that allow T.O.U.C.H. to become successful and effective, are available upon any SERVICE CONTRACTING. Click on Brian K. Woods for Service Contracting information.)
T.O.U.C.H. is designed to address many of the unknowns that may frighten formerly incarcerated individuals upon their release. T.O.U.C.H. will assist with housing, clothing, transportation, computer training, and employment needs. T.O.U.C.H. is designed to help level the playing field for returnees. Our stringent screening process and required criteria position participants on the path to a successful and productive reentry into society.
MENTORING PROGRAM:
(INSTITUTIONAL LEVEL): At this level, during the near release and most critical portion of their sentences, inmates are encouraged to participate in and complete existing institutional programs covering topics and skills development. Areas these programs address are improving self-esteem and several other skill developement techniques needed for successful reentry.
(POST-RELEASE LEVEL): At this level, recently released individuals will be put through exercises where they will practice and learn to execute techniques and skills developed during the Institutional Inmate Mentoring Program courses.
