The T.O.U.C.H. program is designed to effectively assist prisoners with positive reintegration into society.  T.O.U.C.H. is defined as:
(1) TEACHING necessary life skills,
(2) Providing employment OPPORTUNITY
(3) exercising UNITY by
(4) CONNECTING with prisoners not withstanding the prison walls,
(5) with open and spirit filled HEARTS.

WHO WE ARE: T.O.U.C.H. is an Inmate and Post-Release Mentoring Program for pre release and formerly incarcerated individuals. The program addresses issues such as job training, employment, education, post-release housing, substance abuse, and prison mentoring. T.O.U.C.H. is designed to address the needs of those who have completed their sentences but are at risk of re-offending upon release because they lack the education, job/life skills, and stable family or living arrangements needed to successfully reintegrate into society

OUR MISSION: Implementing the concept of "Reach Out and Touch" to establish a well grounded connection between the ex-offender and his/her community by providing an effective post-release program, thus paving a path for responsible men and women to travel upon during their journey toward successful reintegration.

OUR PURPOSE: The purpose of the T.O.U.C.H. Mentoring Program is to carve a path for a client's honest attempts toward

  • productive community reintegration as a law abiding citizen;
  • obtaining and holding employment;
  • learn and exercise proper money management; and
  • pursuing all which enables the client to remain crime free, as well  enjoy and sustain a life of freedom, responsibility, dependability, and success.

THE PROBLEM: Out of Control Recidivism Rates Currently available programs offer merely short-term solutions to long-term problems. There is a need for progressive thinking and a new approach. It is time to address the dire situation of prisoners entering our communities with little or no job skills, inadequate drug treatment, insufficient housing, and a lack of positive influences and basic life skills.

The huge number of prisoners released each year and the out of control recidivism rates are surely a recipe for disaster as they lead to damage, hardship, and even death for victims; ruined futures and lost potential for re-offenders; and are a huge drain on society at large. One particularly vulnerable group is the children of these offenders. Society cannot become resigned to allowing generation after generation to enter and re-enter prisons. This pernicious cycle must come to an end.
